Orlando’s favorite Sichuan restaurant, Taste of Chengdu (Facebook), is finally ready to reopen its long-shuttered West Colonial location this week.

The original location on West Colonial has been closed for months as the owners focused on reopening the smaller Baldwin Park location following a brief closure last summer. According to their social media pages, the owner, Xiong “Tiger” Tang, will reopen the Rock Lake-based restaurant on May 12th, on a first-come, first-served basis with reservations resuming in June.

The Baldwin Park location will close from May 9 to mid-June as they focus their efforts on the West Colonial location’s reopening and carry out some renovations on the dining room and prepare for a new menu and some other “big changes” according to Chef Tiger.

The original Taste of Chengdu restaurant is located at 2030 W. Colonial Drive [GMap].
