  1. I worked at CDF for the entirety of 2015. During this time, I became very close with Dominque. I saw her as my “French mom.” She’s so sweet, incredibly witty, and she showed me one of my favorite artists to this day, Stromae! With that being said, Dominique is a force of nature — a POWERHOUSE. Her extensive cuisine knowledge, and work ethic never ceased to impress me. I still think about her absolutely *amazing* homemade terrines to this day.

As I tearfully read Dominique’s farewell post on Facebook, I thought of how happy I was for her and German; thirty-seven long years, with all of their loyal regulars becoming like family. I hope that they’re both very proud of what they’ve achieved, and I’m hoping they can now go off, and have all of the fun that is much, much deserved.

  2. We loved our evenings at Cafe de France in your early years. Unfortunately, years and distance curtailed these celebrations. We wish you Bonne Chance!
