The City of Orlando and the Florida Department of Transportation are entering a Local Funding Agreement that would allow for the expansion of the existing SunRail station at the LYNX Central Station in downtown Orlando.
The project will expand the existing east platform footprint, which is currently unpaved and gated. According to paperwork filed by the City, the area routinely requires cleaning and trash removal services.
FDOT will be fully funding the design of the platform expansion, bidding, contracting, and managing the construction of the expansion, which is expected to cost roughly $470,000.
