Heart of Florida United Way is now accepting nominations for its annual Change Maker Impact Awards now through Friday, July 15.

The organization is actively looking to identify individuals and organizations that have contributed to “…significant and lasting change in our community over the past year.”

“Change Makers have a philanthropic core and a deep desire to do good. It is because of their go-getter mentality our community is the place that it is today; however, we need the community’s help to identify these Change Makers who are making that positive impact.”

– JEFF HAYWARD, PRESIDENT AND CEO, HEART OF UNITED WAY

Awards are given in four categories;

  • The Unsung Hero – For a person or organization that is making significant contributions to the community when no one is looking, and don’t get enough credit for the work they do.
  • The Change Maker Junior – Recognizing contributions made to Central Florida by individuals under the age of 17.
  • The Women United Impact Award – Recognizing women who are leading the charge and inspiring change in the region.
  • The Mission United Impact Award – Recognizes a champion for veterans or an outstanding service member who has contributed toward significant and positive change in Central Florida.

All nominations can be made HERE before the closing date of Friday, July 15.
