The City District Main Street (Website) announced the hiring of its new executive director, Nikki Aviles.

“As a Board we could not be more excited to welcome Nikki into our Main Street family. There is no doubt that the City District has gone through a transformation these past few months, and I couldn’t be prouder of how this Board has worked to put fundamental pieces in place to ensure Nikki thrives.”

– DESPINA MCLAUGHLIN, CITY DISTRICT BOARD PRESIDENT

Aviles started in her position as City District executive director this past Monday, June 13, bringing eight years of marketing experience and most recently as director of Central Florida for Rebuilding Together, a non-profit that repairs homes free of charge to those in need.

Aviles moved to Orlando in 2014 after earning a marketing degree from Mount Saint Mary College in New York and spent time with AmeriCorp. As executive director, Aviles is responsible for the development, execution, implementation, and documentation of activities and initiatives of City District.

The previous director resigned from the position in April 2022.
