Mayor Dyer has just appointed a new director of Public Works for the City of Orlando.

“With nearly two decades of experience in public works, including serving as our Capital Improvements Division Manager, Corey is well qualified to lead the department. Having managed many city projects in every division of Public Works, I’m confident Corey’s knowledge and expertise will ensure we continue to deliver critical city services to meet the needs of our residents and businesses. I look forward to working with him in his new role with the city.”

Knight started his career as a Project Manager in the Public Works Department and has served on high-profile projects like the Packing District, Grand Avenue Neighborhood Center, Narcoossee Road Widening, Luminary Green Park, and more.

The appointment will go to City Council for approval on Monday, July 18, 2022, and go into effect on Monday, July 25, 2022.
