Southern-inspired Mason Jar Provisions (Facebook | Website), which opened in Thornton Park in June 2020, has closed.
Located in an adjoined space next to Burton’s Bar at 805 E. Washington Street [GMap], Mason Jar Provisions was built out in a long-vacant storefront. They specialized in a variety of dishes including Boudin Balls, smash-cooked burgers, barbecue, falafel, and a beloved Tuesday Pasta Night.
The restaurant closed suddenly on the evening of Sunday, June 26th, with announcements posted earlier that same day that while the restaurant would be closing after two years, they would be back, “… BIGGER & BETTER very soon.”
While the owners have refrained from sharing where exactly they will be moving to and when they will be reopening (we tried to find out!), rumors have persisted for the past two weeks that they would be moving somewhere in either Mills 50 or Winter Park – though again, that’s been unconfirmed.
Staff working the last shift at the Thornton Park location shared that they had been told the new restaurant would be opening sometime in the next two weeks, so stay tuned to their social accounts for more information.
