Following an unfortunate delay earlier in the month, Japanese waffle-makers Wafu (Facebook Instagram) has soft-opened their new East End Market food stall.

The food truck-turned-brick-and-mortar specializes in special fish-shaped waffles that are filled with a variety of fillings like custard, Nutella, and bacon and cheddar, and they’ve even added soft-serve ice cream to their menu as well.

The soft-serve menu will rotate from season to season and feature flavors like cherry blossom, matcha/green tea, black sesame, ube, and more, with vanilla as the ever-constant staple. They will also have some house-made beverages available including hojicha (roasted green tea) lattes, matcha lattes, strawberry milk, and more.

Bungalower Buddy members and early bird East End visitors who make it to the grand opening on Wednesday, June 29th, will be rewarded with a special souvenir, while supplies last.

Operating hours are subject to change but are currently listed as 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Friday through Sunday, and closed on Tuesdays.
