Airbnb has just announced a new $10 million fund that will be used to make people’s weird architectural concepts a reality, while simultaneously boosting its rental network.
The new OMG! Fund will be used to build 100 new homes with the one hangup that only the “craziest ideas” will be funded. The name is a play on the company’s ever-growing OMG! Category of the quirkiest homes available in their network, including some of the examples below.
Applications are due by July 22, 2022, with entries being voted on by a panel of judges including fashion icon Iris Apfel, professional Airbnb builder/tycoon Kristie Wolfe, award-winning Sydney architect Koichi Takada, and VP of Experiential at Airbnb, Bruce Vaughn.

Side Note: Don’t forget that the City of Orlando has some pretty strict rules for short-term rentals, including one that says the homeowner lives on-site.
