The City of Orlando’s Office of Sustainability and Resilience is looking to hire a new Sustainability Project Coordinator to work specifically with the city’s growing beekeeping program.

The individual hired for the role would be responsible for developing a 12-month curriculum related to beekeeping and honey collection, to be administered weekly, in collaboration with Black Bee Honey (Instagram | Website) and the Parramore Kidz Zone (Instagram| Website). Additional work includes maintaining all European honeybee colonies on a weekly basis as well as delivering safe and secure in-person education for students.

Applicants must have a high school degree or equivalent and three years of experience in managing honeybee colonies as well as at least one year in teaching environmental education.

This seasonal role pays $20/hour.
