The on-again, off-again romance between downtown Orlando and Asheville-based organic grocer Earth Fare (Website) has taken another turn, with the recent news that the store will be closing up shop (again).

The store originally opened on the ground floor of Novel Lucerne in March 2019 before calling it quits in February 2020. The retailer then announced that it would be returning to 9 W. Gore Street [GMap] in  September 2020, before finally reopening in April 2021.

Earth Fare has since shared on its social platforms that it will be hosting a 20% storewide discount on all goods in the downtown store through July 30th, when it will be closing permanently.

They will be open 8 a.m.-9 p.m. daily until the end of the month.

Earth Fare closed all of its 50 locations earlier in the year after declaring bankruptcy but was reanimated following an investment from Hulsing Enterprises CEO, Dennis Hulsing and former Earth Fare president, Mike Cianciarulo.

  1. Oh, if only Trader Joe’s would come to SoDo!??! Too much wishful thinking on
    my part?!!?

  2. 20% off is still 40% more expensive than other Orlando supermarkets. The place is always empty and the prices ridiculous
