Faith Arts Village Orlando (Website) will be using its next community open house in September to host a supply drive for local school children.

FAVO, which is owned and operated by Park Lake Presbyterian Church, is located in a former motel at 221 E. Colonial Drive [GMap] in the Park Lake Highland neighborhood. The former hotel’s 36 rooms have been converted into artist studios and mini galleries for local artists and artisans and they host a free monthly open house for Orlando residents to visit and shop.

The evening often features live music, an outdoor market, and food trucks from 4-9 p.m.

The collective is looking for visitors to the September open house to bring donations of pencils, pens, markers, crayons, scissors, notebooks, highlighters, paper, and more. If you bring a backpack filled with school supplies, you will be entered to win a prize
