We told you HERE in June 2022 that Hearst Communications (Website) had launched a new series of hyper-local streaming channels across the country when we shared news of a new show about local “Amazing Cheap Date” ideas, and they just shared a promo for another original series that’s all about local restaurants. And it stars a familiar face. Mine!

“Restaurants on the Radar,” which will be available on Amazon Fire TV and Roku starting August 4, will feature a series of behind-the-scenes looks at local restaurants we’ve featured on Bungalower.com and even some new ones that are a bit further out, but all of them have been on my radar.

The episodes will air as follows:

  • “Florida Flavors” – August 4 – Featuring Pom Pom’s Teahouse and Sandwicheria, Seana’s Carribbean and Soul, Orlando Cat Cafe/Minch Coffee, and The Pinery.
  • “Comfort Food” – August 11 – Featuring The Monroe, Chicken Fire, Tornatore’s Italian Kitchen, and Sea Thai.
  • “Pretty Plates” – August 18 – Salt and The Cellar, Phat Ash Bakes, Bacan, and Ice ‘n’ Bites.
  • “Street Food” – August 25 – A La Cart, Bombay Street Kitchen, Sticky Rice, and Hunger Street Tacos.

To watch Restaurants On The Radar for free, simply install the Very Local app to stream live or watch on demand on your Amazon Fire TV, Roku, iOS, and Android mobile devices.
