The City of Winter Park will be bringing back its annual repair workshop event, “Fix It, Don’t Pitch It” on Saturday, September 10, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Winter Park Farmers’ Market.

The event is part of the city’s Sustainability Action Plan, part of which is to reduce single-use plastic use and daily consumption of goods in Winter Park homes by encouraging recycling, and the reuse of items rather than disposing of them and sending them to the landfill.

Items that can be considered for fixing and/or swapping at the event include clothing, eyeglasses, bicycles, electronics, tools, and more, though there is a limit of two items per person, so bring a friend if you have lots of broken stuff laying around.
