Catalina Elementary School has partnered with All Kids Bike, to help teach all of their students how to ride a bike.

All Kids Bike is a national program that is on a mission to teach children across the country how to ride and they equip schools with everything they need to teach their students, including helmets, a fleet of bikes, a structured 8-lesson curriculum, and teacher training and certification.

“As of right now, Catalina Elementary has 754 students which are considered low income and 46 teachers full-time, with a Student-Teacher Ratio of 15.7. Of the 754 students who attend Catalina, 85% of the students live within two miles of our school which means our students either walk or ride their bikes to school.”

Part of the program requirements is to raise the needed funds to help pay for the equipment and the school has launched an online fundraiser to meet its goal of $7,552 over the next year. You can click HERE to make a donation.
