Orlando City took home their first trophy as a Major League Soccer club last night when they won the 2022 U.S. Open Cup Final with a 3-0 victory over Sacramento Republic FC at Exploria Stadium.

The Lions took the trophy in front of a sold-out crowd of 25,527 people.

The team will be hosting a free public celebration at City Hall in downtown Orlando, starting at noon on Thursday, September 8. The event will be hosted by former Lions goalkeeper Miguel Gallardo and City’s sideline reporter, Gabrielle Amado, and will include speeches by Mayor Dyer, Orlando City Chairman Mark Wilf, and head coach, Oscar Pareja, with the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Trophy on display.

The event is free and open to the public.
