The Fort Gatlin Plaza has seen a few new concepts open in recent years including Gatlin Hall Brewing, Buttercrust Pizza, and That Wing Spot, and now it’s adding a cheese shop to the list.

Formaggio and Friends (Instagram | Facebook) is a new cheese and wine market that will be opening at 4745 S. Orange Avenue [GMap] and will feature a selection of curated, cut cheese and wine from Italy and the United States as well as craft beer. They’ll also offer consulting and menu planning services.

According to the owners, Gwen Cooper and Christopher Sorrentino, the shop will carry all of the accoutrements you’ll need to make your cheese and charcuterie boards at home. Cooper and Sorrentino, self-confessed travel junkies, have lived in the Conway neighborhood for the past 30 years and told Bungalower that they can’t wait to share everything they’ve learned from their trips with Orlando.

“We love sharing stories of our travels with our guests, especially the experiences and new
products we’ve found along the way
,” says Gwen. “But living the lifestyle of cheese and wine is
more enjoyable with friends and family.”

Formaggio and Friends is expected to open in early November.
