The City of Winter Park (Facebook | Twitter) has closed access to all of its lakes until further notice.
The move was made in reaction to the extremely high water levels in its lakes due to Hurricane Ian. Residents are asked to refrain from boating, jet skiing, or using any other motorized watercraft at this time.
The wake created by boat jet skis, and other craft are causing increased damage to private and public property due to the high water levels.
