According to a press release issued late last week, Rise Southern Biscuits and Righteous Chicken (Instagram | Website) will be opening its first Orlando-area location in Winter Park early next year.

The “tech-focused franchise” has made a name for itself with contactless ordering systems, food lockers, and low labor needs as part of its scalable model, which will help it open a planned 20 new Orlando locations in the next five years. According to the release, there are plans to open a location in downtown Orlando and Oviedo next.

Rise Winter Park will be located in a former mattress shop at Lakeside Crossing, at 110 S. Orlando Avenue [GMap], conveniently close to a number of other fried chicken restaurants on a stretch of road that we affectionately refer to as the “Cock Block” or the “Chicken Strip.” They’ll be open for breakfast and lunch.

Losing track of all the fried chicken spots in town? Don’t worry, we have a map for that. Want to check off a bunch of the chicken restaurants on the Cock Block while looking super fly? Check out this shirt on Orlando Shirts.
