The “ween-slingers” at Cholo Dogs (Facebook | Instagram) will be hosting a special hot dog eating contest on Saturday, November 12.
The family-friendly event will take place at the Gnarly Barley in Ivanhoe Village, at 1407 N. Orange Avenue [GMap], and will feature live music, food and drinks, and a vendor market.
The event will kick off at 3 p.m. with the eating contest taking place at 6 p.m. in the parking lot’s main stage. Contestants will have seven minutes to eat as many hot dogs as possible and only fully eaten hot dogs (buns included) will be counted.
Ties will be decided by a beer chug contest between competitors.
The winner will walk away with free hot dogs from Cholo Dogs for one full year, a custom contest trophy, a special t-shirt, and a contest sticker pack.
