According to a recent report by Orlando Sentinel, its Spanish-language sister publication El Sentinel (Facebook | Website) will close next month.
The paper launched in 2001 with a South Florida edition following in 2002 and it is currently being distributed to 146,000 homes in the Orlando area.
Citing a loss in advertising revenues as the reason behind the closure, the last paper to be printed is scheduled for December 3 in Orlando and November 30 in South Florida.
