Contrary to an earlier report (by us), Black Magic Pizza (Website) will still be moving forward with its plans to open a new restaurant in the SoDo District.
We told you HERE in September that the popular pop-up pizza makers were opening next door to Rockpit Brewing (Instagram) at 14 W. Illiana Street [GMap], in the former home of Orlando Homebrew Supplies, and the buildout for the new space is already underway.
With a projected opening date in Q2 2023, the space will feature a new oven that the owners, Travis Santoss and Elizabeth Hill, discovered at the recent Pizza Expo that was held at the Orange County Convention Center last week. The new oven will let the duo dish out larger 18-inch pizzas alongside some new menu items that are still in development.
Santoss told Bungalower that the new space will just require some light construction in order to open, and will serve as a grab ‘n’ go concept, primarily serving the adjacent brewery as well as to-go and online orders.
The new Milk District pizza window, that we told you about HERE last week, will be moving forward as well, so 2023 will be full of Black Magic and pizza. Something to look forward to.
Is the “black magic” part all of those burnt parts?
