A new 18-story multifamily tower is in the works for a 0.90-acre parcel in the Parramore neighborhood, near the intersection of Church, Terry, and Jackson streets.

The Parramore City Towers project, led by developer Timothy Green, will feature two towers, one of which will have roughly 120-180 multifamily residential units for senior housing or mixed-income tenants, depending on which model is best for the market – according to a project summary submitted to City Hall. Green and his Parramore Development Group team are still weighing the best option as they move forward.
The second tower would feature a Marriott flag hotel with 132-171 hotel rooms, with an additional 20,000 SF conference space at the top two levels of the building. Plans also call for the renovation/adaptive reuse of the historic Greater Refuge Memorial Church at 596 W. Church Street [GMap] as part of the project. The developer is working with the city’s Historic Preservation Board to identify the best design to enhance its historical features and better connect it to the hotel site, potentially as a lounge/museum use.
