The Orlando Pride has recently announced the appointment of a new head coach, following the termination of the previous one following allegations of bullying and retaliation.

The team has officially promoted Seb Hines, a former pro player and assistant coach for Orlando Pride since May 2020. Hines was promoted to interim head coach in June 2022 when Amanda Cromwell was placed on administrative leave.

“After evaluating what we want the future for the Pride to be, listening to player feedback, and discussing with Seb, it became very clear that he has earned the opportunity to continue leading our Club. We are very excited to see what he can keep building with a full offseason and preseason ahead of the 2023 campaign. Seb has been an incredibly dedicated and passionate member of our organization and we are thrilled to have him as the next head coach for the Orlando Pride.”

Hines has been with the club for eight years, three of which he spent with Orlando City SC. He is the first Black head coach in the National Women’s Soccer League. Click HERE to read more about his history with the club.
