We often get photographs and tips from our Bungalower readers of things that are happening around town, so we have started featuring them on the site in a series called “Eyes on the Street,” in honor of our favorite urbanist Jane Jacobs.

“Spotted outside of my neighborhood today! Former Skycraft finally getting a tenant.”

– @MELISSAGRAM

A new concept is moving into the former home of Skycraft at 2245 W. Fairbanks Avenue [GMap] in Winter Park.

Skycraft Parts and Surplus, which has been in business since 1974, moved out of their former home on Fairbanks back in the fall of 2021 in favor of a larger space on Edgewater Drive, in the Northgate Plaza. At the time, the owner told us it was to escape the ongoing impacts of the I-4 Ultimate Project.

The new tenant, according to the signage shown above, will be a new spa concept called Saku Sauna Spa and Massage (Facebook). According to their socials, Saku will specialize in a variety of services, including hot stone massage, body scrub, reflexology, body massage, and sauna.

An opening timeline is not public at this time.
