The City of Orlando will host its annual tree lighting celebration on Friday, December 2 at Lake Eola.

The mayor will join City Commissioners to kick off the holiday season on the western side of Lake Eola Park near the Disney Amphitheater. The event will start at 5 p.m. with live performances at the amphitheater, food trucks, a holiday shopping market, and a “Florida snowfall experience,” with the lighting of the tree to take place at 8 p.m.

The 64-foot tree features 88,000 lights and 2,000 ornaments and will light up in sync with the Lake Eola Fountain and music amplified around the park.

The Jack Kazanzas Star and the Ivanhoe Happy Holidays sign were both turned on last week.
