K BBQ and Bar has opened in the former Oblivion Taproom building
DECEMBER 14
“New restaurant K-BBQ & Bar (Website) has opened in the old Oblivion Taproom space at 5101 E. Colonial Drive [GMap], just east of the Milk District. K-BBQ specializes in Korean barbecue that guests get to make themselves, using electric grills that are placed into the dining tables. New Urban Turban restaurant opening downtown
NOVEMBER 28
“A new Indian restaurant has opened in downtown Orlando, making it (allegedly) the first Indian restaurant in the Central Business District. The Urban Turban (Instagram) opened last week in the former home of U Roll Sushi at 100 E. Pine Street [GMap]. The fast-casual concept serves up tasty dishes for vegans and meat eaters alike, for dine-in or to-go. They also serve Halal.”

New Filipino concept in former Dandelion Cafe in soft-open
NOVEMBER 20
“New casual fine-dining Filipino restaurant, Kaya (Instagram | Facebook), has soft-opened in the former home of Dandelion Communitea Cafe in Lake Eola Heights. We first told you about the concept HERE back in November 2020, and since then, the ownership team has been hard at work gutting the former vegetarian teahouse and almost completely rebuilding it.”

Framework Coffee now open in Mills 50
NOVEMBER 14
“Framework Coffee (Instagram) is now open in the Mills 50 District. We told you HERE on September 4 that the mobile shop had signed a lease on the former storefront of Java J’s at 1201 N. Mills Avenue [GMap], and it appears that they’ve already opened in a record amount of time.”

Taco Kat will open to the public on October 18
OCTOBER 16
“Taco Kat (Instagram), a new Sonoran-style taco restaurant, has taken over the former Cleo’s Lounge space at 11 S. Court Avenue [GMap] and is scheduled to open this week. The longtime downtown watering hole was added to the ever-expanding portfolio of Team Market Group in November 2021, and will now house a taco restaurant and an adjacent private club, that people can access via a special “secret” entrance behind a pop machine (see video below).”

The Courtesy Bar opens in Winter Park this week
OCTOBER 12
“The Courtesy Bar (Instagram) has just celebrated its 10th anniversary but in a new home in Winter Park.
