The Moderne (Website) the Art Deco/Nouveau-styled lounge serving Asian-inspired tapas and craft cocktails, has opened on the corner of East Colonial Drive and Shine Avenue.
We told you HERE in August 2021 about a new restaurant concept that was being planned for a former Mills 50 mattress shop storefront, and HERE again in March 2022 when we got our hands on the plans from GDP Design Build.
The beautiful new space, located at 1241 E. Colonial Drive [GMap] features a menu of tapas, baos, skewers, and more, as well as an extensive cocktail program. They are currently in Phase 2 of a soft-open period where they are limiting the length of time guests can stay at the tables to two hours, with no maximum on the bar seats and outdoor area. Operating hours are currently 5-11 p.m. but in their next phase, they expect to open until 1 a.m. on weekdays and 2 a.m. on weekends.
Reservations are currently not available and they are first come, first served.
