In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and the role he played in the Civil Rights Movement, the annual MLK Holiday Parade is scheduled to take place on Saturday, January 14 in downtown Orlando.

The theme for the 2023 parade celebration is “It Starts with Me: Cultivating a Beloved Community Mindset to Break the Cycle of Injustice.” The event will feature dance, comedy, community organizations, drumlines, music, and more, near the downtown Orlando Courthouse all the way to Lake Eola Park.

In observance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, City Hall and all city offices will be closed Monday, January 16, 2023. Residential trash pickup will occur as usual.
