Kaya (Instagram Facebook), the casual fine-dining Filipino restaurant we told you about HERE when it soft opened last November, will host a grand opening celebration alongside Filipino Freedom Fest this weekend.

Last year’s inaugural Filipino Freedom Fest brought in over 800 attendees to East End Market, but this one is expected to be even bigger and will feature a number of local Filipino food and craft vendors, including ice cream from the nearby Sampaguita, live entertainment, dancing, and karaoke.

Kaya will also be hosting a special kamayan dinner but tickets have already sold out.

Kaya is located at 618 N. Thornton Avenue [GMap] in the former home of Dandelion Community Cafe.
