The City of Orlando is hosting a free event for residents and businesses to safely recycle electronics and household textiles on Saturday, February 18 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

Orlando residents can help prevent lead, mercury, and other toxic materials from ending up in local landfills and harming the environment, by bringing their waste items to Orlando Festival Park, located at 2911 East Robinson Street [GMap] in the Milk District. That simple.

Some items accepted by the City at the recycling event include:

  • Computers
  • Laptops
  • Mobile Devices
  • Monitors
  • Telephones
  • Televisions
  • Office Equipment
  • Clothes and shoes
  • Bedding and curtains
  • Stuffed animals
  • Printers
