UPDATE: A YMCA spokesperson shared at a recent College Park Neighborhood Association meeting that the new facility will be opening on March 20, 2023.
Following a months-long delay in the opening of the new YMCA facility in the Packing District, an opening date has now been tentatively set for sometime next month.
The new 30,000+ SF Leonard and Marjorie Williams Family YMCA, which we toured HERE, will feature a new six-lane lap swimming pool, an interactive splash pad, a multi-purpose boutique studio room for classes and academic programs, a child development area for children under the age of 12, wellness studios and workout equipment, locker facilities and private changing areas, and more.
Memberships are currently available for purchase HERE and will allow members early access to the facility before it opens to the general public, as well as some commemorative swag for the trouble.
An exact opening date is yet to be made public but members who sign up now will allegedly be the first to receive the news, according to a recent press release.
