Papi Smash Burger (Instagram) opened for business in downtown Orlando on March 3.

The popular Caribbean-influenced food truck, headed by Chef Christopher Hernandez, has opened a new brick-and-mortar location at  68 E. Pine Street [GMap] in the former home of Jimmy Hula’s.

The menu features Hernandez’s take on boozy milkshakes (including a coquito one), burgers, and smashburgers including some innovative items like the “Noche in Miami” which is essentially a Cuban sandwich Smashburger.

Operating hours hadn’t been posted at the time of this post.

We told you HERE that the property was purchased by the team behind Bullitt Bar and McQueens Social Lounge, along with The Basement, The Attic, and The Treehouse. At that time Chef Hernandez had hoped to open in September 2022 before hitting permitting delays and supply issues.
