The Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival (Facebook Website) will return for its 64th year on Friday, March 17 through Sunday, March 19 in downtown Winter Park, but will be preceded by a special jazz concert in Central Park on Saturday, March 11.

Jazz fusion “superstars” Spyro Gyra (Facebook) will perform live in Central Park from 7:30-9 p.m., preceded by the Lake Highland Jazz Band from 3-4 p.m. and the Tal Cohen Trio from 5-6 p.m. Concert-goers will be allowed to bring blankets on the lawn to save their spots starting at noon that same day, though the blankets can’t be any larger than 10×10 feet.

The actual art festival will take place the next weekend. The annual event draws more than 350,000 visitors to Park Avenue every year.

The following streets will be closed during the fest:

  • New England Avenue – from West Park Avenue to Center Street
  • Lincoln and East Welbourne Avenues – from Center Street to South Park Avenue
  • Morse Boulevard – from South Knowles to South New York
  • Park Avenue – from West Canton to Lyman
