“Any word on what’s going in the old Thai Farm Kitchen location here in College Park? Seems like something is going on, although slowly. I see an Irish flag hanging up on their covered patio and was just curious. Thanks!”

A new Irish pub will be moving into the former home of RusTeak at 2625 Edgewater Drive [GMap] in College Park.

The Castle Irish Pub and Restaurant (Instagram | Facebook) is already in the midst of carrying out some overhauls of the space that RusTeak moved out of in July 2021, and was home to the short-lived Thai Farm Kitchen, which closed in September 2022.

Oddly enough, it’s not the first Irish pub to be in that same building though, as the space was once home to Scruffy Murphy’s from 2007 to 2013 after it moved out of downtown Orlando.

The Castle is a new concept by Shayne and Katie Hoyne, who met while working at Fiddler’s Green Irish Pub in Winter Park, according to a recent report by Charlotte Skipper for The Community Paper.

An opening date is tentatively scheduled for sometime this August.
