3/10 UPDATE: Lake Alert for Little Lake Fairview has been LIFTED.
The City of Orlando has just issued a Lake Alert for Little Lake Fairview due to an aquatic herbicide treatment, that will be conducted by the Orange County Environmental Protection Division on March 9.
The herbicides are part of an ongoing water hyacinth control program on the lake.
Residents are advised to avoid using the lake for irrigation and to restrict access to pets for at least one day following treatment.
Little Lake Fairview is located in Fairview Shores, just north of the Dubsdread Golf Course.
