Shaquille O’Neal is opening a new fried chicken concept in Orlando later this year.
The new SoDo location of Big Chicken (Website) will be located at 250 E. Michigan Street [GMap] just south of downtown Orlando in the Market at Southside. The fast-casual concept is part of a 45-location franchise deal that was signed last year by DMD Ventures that will bring locations to cities across the state from Miami to Orlando.
According to their website, Big Chicken specializes in “home-cooked childhood favorites with bold new flavors,” ranging from massive, elaborate sandwiches to chicken tenders and salads.
The new Orlando location is expected to be open by the end of 2023.
