The Winter Park Library has named a new executive director, and it’s a familiar face to boot.
Melissa Schneider, who has been serving as assistant director since 2020 and acting as the interim director since October 2022, has just been officially named to the position. Schneider has a B.A. from Rollins College and an M.S. in Library and Information Studies from the University of South Florida.
Schneider worked as Head of Membership and Material Services at the library from 2017-2020 and as Head of Circulation from 2014-2017, and was recognized as one of Orlando Magazine‘s 2022 Women of the Year.
