A penthouse in the Aspire Apartments building at 111 E. Washington Street [GMap] in downtown Orlando has been converted into a new arts and culture space, curated by the team at FusionFest (Website), a non-profit sponsored by the Orange County Office of Arts and Cultural Affairs to help celebrate the people and cultures that “make Central Florida awesome.”

The Penthouse at OneEleven (Website) is a 3,000 SF flex space that the non-profit will be operating as a private venue, to showcase and share arts and culture programming. OneEleven has three upcoming inaugural events on the books, including:

  • 8 p.m. April 11 – Youth Poetry Slam Fundraiser
  • 6 p.m. April 13 – Multi Colors Multi Cultures: Discovery exhibition opening
  • 6 p.m. & 7:30 p.m. April 20 – Third Thursday Docent Tours

Event parking is hosted at a vacant lot at 170 E. Washington Street [GMap] for $10. All proceeds will be donated to the St. George homeless feeding program at the Greek Orthodox church.

Downtown Orlando currently has a handful of other galleries in the Central Business District, including CityArts (Website), Snap! Orlando (Website), and Orlando City Hall’s Mayor’s Gallery and Terrace Gallery.
