A long-vacant restaurant space on the ground floor of Orlando City Hall has finally signed a new tenant.

The former home of 4 Rivers Smokehouse, which we most recently wrote about HERE in a previous “I Wish This Was” column, will now be home to a new concept by AJ Campofiore, the owner of Portuguese/Mexican restaurant, Bem Bom (Instagram), in Audubon Park.

According to an agenda item in today’s Council Meeting notes, the restaurant will be called City Beautiful Cafe, and according to a report by Orlando Business Journal‘s Ryan Lynch, will be completely separate from the Audubon Park restaurant with a menu focusing on breakfast and lunch, including burgers, sandwiches, sliders, and wraps.

The initial lease term for the space if five years, starting on May 1, 2023, with options available for two additional terms of two years each. Rent is set for $1,000.61 per month for the first year or 3% of gross sales, with an increase of 3% each year.

The lease requires them to open by August 1, 2023.
