A new tower downtown that was built on the site of a former Travelodge will soon have a fancy new tenant on the bottom floor.
According to the team at ACRE Commercial, the new chef’s table restaurant will be called Leiah Kitchen and Celler (Facebook | Instagram) and will be Orlando’s “next best restaurant.” Leia will be located on the ground floor of the Hilton Garden Inn on the site of the old City Diner at 409 N. Magnolia Street [GMap] and offer a selection of “handcrafted cuisine, curated wines, and an elevated atmosphere.”
The new 1,200 SF restaurant will be led by Chef Omar Torres, who comes to the concept with years at The Ritz Carlton, Waldorf Astoria, Hilton, and Marriott Autograph Collection. The restaurant will source organic produce from local farmers who practice sustainable farming methods and will partner with ethically-sourced seafood providers.
An opening date is not public at this time.
Did you tell them that they had misspelled the name of their restaurant?
