We told you HERE in April that crowd favorite Valhalla Bakery (Instagram) would be jumping ship from Market on South and opening in the historic Fort Pitt building on Old Cheney Highway, and the time has finally come. The tasty shop opened this past weekend in its newly painted pink palace.

The Fort Pitt building will eventually house a handful of businesses under the banner of “The Cheney Collective,” including a new concept by Dharma Southern Kitchen, a plant shop, and a possible barber, though Valhalla Bakery is currently the only one that is open for business. A backyard patio will be added at a later stage as well.

The bakery offers a rotating selection of goodies ranging from fresh cinnamon rolls and donuts to banana bread and Nanaimo bars. They are currently open 8 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday to Saturday and 8 a.m.-7 p.m. on Sunday.

The Cheney Collective is located at 5565 Old Cheney Highway [GMap] behind Baldwin Park.
