Travel + Leisure Co. (Website), a membership and leisure travel company with a portfolio of nearly 20 resorts, travel clubs, and lifestyle travel brand, is looking to move its headquarters to downtown Orlando, and Orlando’s Community Redevelopment Agency is dangling a big sexy money carrot to make it happen.

The CRA has had a High Wage/High-Value Job Creation Program that gives incentives to companies that pay their staff great salaries to move into downtown Orlando since 2006. In 2023, the program was expanded into the Parramore Planning Area, offering up to $4,000 per job to be relocated in the target area.

Travel + Leisure, which currently has its headquarters in the Orlando suburb of Williamsburg, sandwiched somewhat between Doctor Phillips and Gatorland, plans to move 908 jobs to the downtown core and add another 102 high-value gigs to the pot that pay an estimated 200% more than the average annual private sector wage in Orange County. The company is expecting to spend an estimated $29,400,000 on a new build-out and is expected to be eligible for $4,040,000 through the CRA’s program.

City Council is expected to vote on the funding agreement at the upcoming City Council meeting on May 13. An exact location for the new headquarters is not public at this time.
