The James Beard-nominated restaurateurs at Good Salt Group (Website) have just announced a new fifth concept to their ever-growing restaurant fleet.

Sparrow (Website) is a new wine and bar lounge set to open in the North Quarter at 807 N. Orange Avenue [GMap]. The concept will feature a “focused selection of both New and Old World wines,” under the direction of Good Salt’s beverage director, Lorena Castro, who is also busy creating a bar and cocktail menu.

Chef Wendy Lopez will be directing the kitchen, with a focus on the culinary traditions of Southern Europe with dishes like seafood conservas, jamon iberico, and short rib ragu that speak to the flavors of France, Portugal, Spain, and beyond, served mostly as small plates and shareables.

We told you HERE in 2019 that the storefront was going to be the home of a second location of East End Market darling La Femme du Fromage (Facebook Website), but according to shop owner Tonda Corrente, that concept has been 86’d.
