As first reported by Orlando Weekly‘s Faiyaz Kara, a Greek restaurant franchise is signing on for the former home of DoveCote Brasserie in downtown Orlando.
DoveCote abandoned its home on the ground floor of the Bank of America building in October 2023, when ownership stated that it was moving into a new home somewhere nearby. Though we have yet to hear where that is.
The Tampa-based chain, Acropolis Greek Taverna (Instagram | Website), is looking to take over the space now with a fall 2024 opening, following some major renovations. The Orlando Instagram, linked above, shares that the menu will feature everything from hummus and horiatiki salad to moussaka and Mediterranean fish dishes.
The Tampa location of Acropolis is also known for its regular belly dancing performances.
