Black Rooster Taqueria (Instagram | Website) has announced the pending closure of its second location in Curry Ford West, by the end of the week.
The popular Mexican restaurant first opened in Mills 50, followed by the Curry Ford location in November 2021, serving up scratch-made tacos and an expanded menu. But it just couldn’t find its feet post-pandemic.
“With the rising cost of doing business post-pandemic and the increasing demands of running both locations, we realized it was time to scale back and focus on family for a bit. The Mills location is still doing great, and we’ll continue to do catering from that original location. We’ve also got some other opportunities in the works, but it’s too early to chat about those right now.”

Black Rooster’s stall at Inter&Co Stadium will continue to operate during games as well.
The Curry Ford restaurant is located at 3097 Curry Ford Road [GMap] in a former ABC Liquor store and is scheduled to close this Sunday, June 30. Co-owner Juliana Calloway shared with Bungalower that she is working hard to find new jobs for all of her team members, and if any local restaurants or businesses are looking, to contact her at [email protected].
