A historic building in the Downtown Entertainment District has just been put on the market.
The Historic Rose Building was originally built in 1924 and was designed by Murry S. King for Walter Rose, a local developer and future state senator. King had planned for the building to be the base of a 10-story office building, but due to the Great Depression, Rose was forced to abandon those plans. Rose often incorporated his name into his projects, including Rose Isle, Rosemere, and Rosearden neighborhoods, and the rose in the cartouche of the building was another nod to his family.
The building is located at 49 N. Orange Avenue [GMap] and is currently occupied by two tenants; La Rosa and The Woods, which have leases through April 2025, according to a report by Orlando Business Journal.
The LoopNet listing has the property valued at $2,900,000, or $662 per SF.
