The Bach Festival Society of Winter Park (Website) has just announced its 90th season, featuring its world-renowned choir, orchestra, and soloists.
The historic season will open with “Voctave: The Corner of Broadway and Main Street” on September 13 from 7:30-9 p.m. at Steinmetz Hall, Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. Voctave, an 11-member a cappella group from Central Florida formed in 2015 by Jamey Ray, showcases a diverse range of musical backgrounds and will perform excerpts from beloved musicals from Broadway and classic Disney pieces.
The rest of the 90th season will include nearly 30 performances, with the centerpiece of the season being the annual Bach Festival in February 2025, featuring Handel’s “La Resurrezione,” performed by the King’s Singers, and the debut of the First Annual Back Festival Society American National Oratorio Competition.
