Orlando’s first alcohol-free cocktail lounge and package store, The Bandbox (Instagram | Website), has announced that it will close its Ivanhoe Village storefront after just two-and-a-half years of business.
The zero-proof speakeasy opened in the spring of 2022 at 1817 N. Orange Avenue [GMap], with a robust menu of non-alcoholic cocktails curated by in-house and local mixologists, including booze-free wines, beers, aperitifs, bitters, shrubs, tonics, and more.
According to a release issued by Bandbox earlier today, the brand will be transcending the physical confines of a brick-and-mortar and transforming into a bodiless and mobile version of the eclectic vibe customers came to love since it opened.
“It’s been an amazing run and we couldn’t be more thankful to the Orlando community for

supporting us since we opened. So many businesses are feeling it right now with the rising
costs to keep the doors open that it just makes sense to take our concept into a mobile
capacity. Especially since the NA industry continues to grow year after year. This was a large part of our decision to shift gears while reaching more people in locations we could have not done before and keeping the spirit of the BANDBOX alive,”
Zepf shared that The Bandbox 2.0 will be a mobile, zero-proof bar, and photo booth experience available for rentals and pop-ups. A timeline for the mobile concept’s launch is not available at this time.
The Bandbox will be taking reservations through their final day of service on Saturday, September 14, and they will be selling some select pieces of the decor and bottle shop to those interested in taking a piece of the original shop home with them.
