Former commissioner Regina Hill (though she still hasn’t updated her LinkedIn) is currently awaiting criminal trial after being charged with exploiting a 96-year-old constituent to secure a $428,000 mortgage for a home for herself, as well as stealing more than $100,000 of that woman’s money on things like dental work, vacations, and more.
Hill, who has maintained her innocence, was scheduled to go on trial at the end of September, but a judge granted a motion to delay until January 14. Hill is also fighting against two civil cases from the same woman and is being investigated by the Feds for mortgage fraud claims.
Hill had been banned from returning to the home she allegedly purchased with the elderly woman’s money, but was allowed to return in late August to retrieve some personal items, but found the house ransacked. She live-streamed the moment, which you can see on Bungalower.com.
